Meet Harry, a 7 month old spotted saddle horse weanling.
Harry was born at Volunteer Equine Advocates about 7 months ago. Harry was lucky enough to be born at VEA and knows nonthing but love and kindness. His poor mama did not have the same luxury. She came into rescue in spring of 2016, along with 7 others. Unfortunately, through a loophole, the original owner got them all back. Harry’s mom was the oldest, skinniest mare out of the entire group and believed to not would have made it if not for some creativity his mom was saved and will now live at her life at VEA. She was saved just in time to have Harry. Harry is easy to halter, lead and picks up his feet. With both his sire and mom being tall horses, they estimate he could be close to 15 hh at maturity.

Katie LaDuc

Katie is a Christ follower. She will be a 7th grader at Stewarts Creek Middle School where she earned principal list honors and is a member of BETA club. She competes on the volleyball team and runs track for the Lady Falcons as well. Katie has been a member USA volleyball in the southeast region for 4 years. In 2016 her 11 year old team was the regional champions. She has competed in over 50 triathlons and wishes to one day join her dad as an ironman finisher. She is a member of New Vision Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. Katie has been around horses for the last few years and just last year she began training with her dad. She is a member of the Triune riding club where she competes in barrels, single barrel, and poles. Her favorite trainers are Madison Shambaugh and Carson James. Her favorite food is tacos. Katie loves to ride her mustang, Becca, and is learning to jump her paint, Sam. She is also a very reliable helper on the farm.
