Kelley Shattuck

I’m Kelley Shattuck, my husband and I reside in Dickson , TN on a beautiful 450 acre farm and run a cow and calf cattle operation . We also lease other farms in three counties for cattle. We use our horses on these farms to gather, move or doctor cattle as well as ride fences and just do general chores around the ranch. I take a few outside horses to start or ride, to help make them a better horse. I also help a few horse folks, both young and “the wiser ages” along their journey to become a better horseman through leadership and communication with their horse.

Over the last 30yrs (plus) of continuing education of “the Horse” I have been very fortunate to get to ride and learn from some lesser known, but very talented horseman and horse women, as well as some very well known horsemen, all have shared their training experiences, but I believe the horses have been excellent teachers when I listened well enough, each one has something to teach us.

Kelley ShattuckThrough them I try to be a better listener, thus hopefully making me a better teacher. While we own and ride Quarter Horses, I have worked with many different breeds and trainers and appreciate the versatility of each one. My goal is to ride a better horse, and learn from the horse along the way,
